I practice from a Person Centered and Existential approach. I use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) as well as the Science of Yoga to assist clients in working through and resolving their relationship and life issues that they struggle with at their place of employment, personal lives as well at home with their children and spouses.

My Values as a Therapist

I graduated in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Counseling and Human Services from California State University, Fullerton. I have been Yoga and Meditation Teacher 7 years and a practitioner for around 20 years. I have served in diverse types of human service agencies over the years. From serving as an emergency services counselor at a homeless shelter to working with battered women and children at a runaway youth shelter to being a counselor in a juvenile detention facility with felony convicted juveniles. I have also worked with elementary, junior, and senior high school students with different personal and academic issues with which they were struggling. I have worked with the elderly as an advocate and caregiver. I later worked with underprivileged children from Mexico as a tutor, mentor, and advocate, who were in impoverished family situations.
