My Ideal Client

I have 15+ years of experience helping adults, teens and families overcome a wode range of issues such as anxiety, OCD, depression, anger, grief/loss, trauma, stress, immigration issues, etc. I specialize in women's issues such as Postpartum Depression and Anxiety Disorders, issues adjusting to being a new mom/parent. I work with adolescents and young adults deal with issue related to becoming, romantic relationships, life transitions, social anxiety, etc.

My Background and Approach

I have a background in family therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy and a strength based-approach. I have worked with families in various settings such as shelters, crisis lines, preschools, mental health clinics and other outpatient settings. Depending on your personal style and goals, I use a variety of tools such as narrative, solution-focused, mindfulness-based, art therapy, family-based interventions. Therapy can be short-term or long-term depending on your personal style and goals.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Whether you realize it or not, there are unique aspects of who you are today that work in your favor: your life experience, your skills, your belief system, perhaps even your ethnicity or family history. We will identify these and use them as resources to help you heal. I also believe that therapy is a two-way-street. We will meet each other halfway, each of us actively participating in the process, to reach our shared goal of overcoming your challenges, whatever they may be. A cognitive behavioral approach is one that takes into account how your thoughts affect the way you feel about yourself, other and the world. And how these affect your behavior. Together, we will create a treatment plan that best fits your needs, goals and personal style.
