My Ideal Client

I am a bi-lingual (English-Spanish) bi-cultural Mental Health Therapist committed to helping adults and teens deal with a wide range of issues such as anxiety, depression, anger, grief/loss, trauma, stress, immigration issues, etc. I also work with women dealing with Post-Partum Depression/Anxiety and issues related to adjusting to being a new mom/parent.

My Background and Approach

I use a strength-based cognitive-behavioral approach. Depending on your personal style and goals, I also incorporate a variety of tools such as narrative, solution-focused, mindfulness-based, art therapy, family-based interventions. Therapy can be short-term or long-term depending on your personal style and goals.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Whether you realize it or not, there are unique aspects of who you are today that work in your favor: your life experience, your skills, your belief system, perhaps even your ethnicity or family history. We will identify these and use them as resources to help you heal. I also believe that therapy is a two-way-street. We will meet each other halfway, each of us actively participating in the process, to reach our shared goal of overcoming your challenges, whatever they may be. A cognitive behavioral approach is one that takes into account how your thoughts affect the way you feel about yourself, other and the world. And how these affect your behavior. Together, we will create a treatment plan that best fits your needs, goals and personal style.
