My Approach to Helping

My approach is person-centered, relational, and collaborative. I incorporate mindfulness-based and existential techniques to support greater self-understanding and connection with the present moment. I will integrate EMDR when deemed appropriate for distressing symptoms and stuck beliefs impacting emotional health and well-being.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I consider it a true privilege to sit with folx in the processing of life’s complexities and approach the therapeutic process with the belief that we are all doing the best that we can with the tools we've been given. Each of us has the capacity to hone new skills, heal from the past, and find greater alignment within our bodies and our lives. I also recognize that none of us exists outside of the cultures and systems that have shaped us. My work is grounded in an awareness of systemic oppression and a commitment to cultural humility, with attention to the ways that identity, power, privilege, and marginalization may intersect with each person's experience.
