My Ideal Client

I work with neurodivergent kids, teens, and adults navigating anxiety, overwhelm, or burnout—often related to ADHD or autism. Neurodivergent individuals often need a creative therapist who can tailor approaches designed for neurotypical people. Many of my clients are seeking understanding, connection, and strategies that respect their unique experiences. I also help parents and families strengthen bonds and meet the needs of children whose nervous systems process the world differently.

My Approach to Helping

My work is rooted in a deep, unwavering belief in every person's potential for growth. I am guided by curiosity, empathy, and a commitment to being fully present with you. I draw from my EMDR training, Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed parts work, and attachment-based, trauma-informed approaches to help clients recognize patterns, soothe their nervous systems, and reconnect with their inner strength and self-trust. For younger clients, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space through child-centered play therapy to facilitate authentic expression and self-discovery, often using accessible digital tools like Minecraft. I also help parents understand and strategize around behaviors that may seem challenging but are often the child’s way of expressing a deep need for connection and support.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I’m an avid reader of sci-fi and fantasy, especially works that help me imagine a different world rooted in community care and harmony with the earth. This interest aligns with my work as a therapist, where I challenge capitalist systems that often leave neurodivergent and otherwise disabled people behind. I’m fascinated by how the autistic brain offers fresh perspectives on disrupting broken systems. I’m driven by a vision of creating a better world, which is why I’m drawn to working with kids and families to help build stronger, more connected futures.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Play Therapy  External link

I’m pursuing certification in play therapy under the supervision of a Registered Play Therapist, with extensive training and hands-on experience, including running groups. My approach is rooted in Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), which trusts in a child’s innate capacity for growth when offered safety, presence, and respect. CCPT fits with how I see kids: capable, creative, and deserving of space where their voice leads the way.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Autism External link

I work with autistic clients across the lifespan, tailoring therapy to their sensory needs, processing styles, and ways of relating. With deep personal and clinical insight into how the autistic nervous system differs, I offer an approach rooted in safety, self-trust, and relief from overwhelm. I see trauma as a near-universal part of the autistic experience—not because of autism, but because the world too often demands conformity over authenticity.

  • Anxiety External link

I specialize in anxiety, especially in young people who feel crushed by the pace and pressure of modern life. Many of my clients carry quiet dread about the future—climate, politics, survival—and feel it in their bodies before they have words for it. I help them slow down, make space for their feelings, and find small, steady ways to guard their peace. Therapy becomes a place where their sensitivity is not a liability, but something worth honoring and protecting.

  • Child or Adolescent Issues External link

I have experience in child development and specialized training in Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT). I create a space where children can express themselves freely through play. I trust that every child has an innate drive toward growth, and my role is to provide the safety, warmth, and attunement that allow this to unfold. Drawing from my work in schools, homes, and the community, I support children in processing emotions, building self-esteem, and navigating challenges at their own pace.

  • Parenting External link

With decades of training and experience providing consultation and training to teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams, I help parents uncover the emotional truth behind their child’s behavior, recognizing that all behavior is communication. I offer sensory support and attachment-focused strategies, collaborating with parents to develop practical solutions that foster connection, emotional regulation, and well-being for the whole family.

  • PTSD External link

I approach PTSD with an understanding of how trauma fractures the self, drawing from my EMDR basic training and IFS-informed parts work to explore the hurt, protective, and surviving parts of you. I guide you through uncovering the emotions and beliefs that shape your responses, honoring the parts that help you hold on and those that need healing. Through this work, we create a space for integration, where your nervous system can begin to find safety, regulation without pushing through pain.
