My Ideal Client

I work with individuals and families who want a safe, non-judgmental space to explore their challenges and goals. My ideal clients are curious, open to collaboration, and ready to grow. I welcome people from all backgrounds, including BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and those in gender, sexual, romantic, and relationship minorities. I enjoy working with clients who value honesty, creativity, and the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for change.

My Approach to Helping

I believe you are the expert on your life and experiences. My role is to create a strong, supportive frame where you can explore challenges, express yourself, and discover new perspectives. I strive to stay curious, open, and attuned, using trauma-informed, client-centered, and relational approaches. Our work together may draw on different theoretical frameworks depending on your needs. I am flexible and responsive—sometimes holding steady boundaries for difficult behaviors, other times moving gently to provide safety while processing trauma. I use humor and empathy to help create connection and ease. Above all, I believe the most important part of therapy is the fit between us, and I look forward to building that relationship with you.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe therapy is a deeply personal experience where every identity, story, and perspective deserves respect. I stay conscious of how my own identities shape the therapeutic relationship, and I strive to honor the uniqueness each client brings. Outside of therapy, I find joy in the science and art of cooking, often experimenting with flavors and techniques in the kitchen. I’m also a gamer—both video games and modern cooperative board games fuel my love for strategy and connection. I love rainy days (though not always being out in them!) and enjoy capturing beauty in the world through photography, especially plants, landscapes, and interesting textures. These interests remind me to stay curious, playful, and open—values I bring into my work as a therapist.
