My Ideal Client

Clients I typically work with identify as artists, visionaries, seekers, wounded healers, witches, geeks, black sheep or folx on the fringe/outside the dominant culture, who are aligned with an unconvential style of therapy and committed to their journey of healing, recovery, and transformation.

My Approach to Helping

My style of working with clients is to look at the intersections of sexuality, gender, race, social, spiritual, economic, cultural, ethnic, power and privilege factors that impact your life. I perceive myself as a curious learner, seeking to understand your story and origins, while finding ways I can be of service that fits your unique needs. I interweave history, tarot, astrology, human design, ancestral lineage tending, and energetic wisdom into the web of relational and somatic therapy. My intention is to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and can show up as you are in all your forms. The support I offer is embodied with compassion, respect, humility, humor, curiosity, accountability, warmth, and transparency. Working to dismantle white supreamcy, I also provide non-judgmental and somatic guidance to white folx wanting to unpack whiteness, power, and privilege as part of their anti-racist journey.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a Politicized Healer and fiercely supportive of marginalized identities, I am critical of colonialism, cisheteropatriarchy, white supremacy, ableist, capitalist, and fat phobic normative culture in and out of the healing space. I believe people's well-being and wholeness are impacted by these systems daily, causing them to disconnect from themselves to adapt to the toxicity that permeates our world. As a white cis queer woman who holds many unearned privileges, doing my own anti-oppression and anti-racist work is an integral part of my life and informs how I move through the world. So much to unlearn, learn and put into action is a lifetime process, that honestly, I get wrong sometimes more than I get right. Uncomfortable as this is, I believe that these internal moments of tension facilitate accountability, growth and change. My own healing journey towards integration and liberation supports the work I do with others.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Somatic Therapy (Body Centered) External link

In our sessions, my focus is on cultivating a nurturing space where you can slow down and reconnect with your inner experience through present moment awareness. This involves inviting you to pause and attentively notice what your body is communicating. Much of the disconnection many of us experience stems from a sense of disembodiment that began at an early age and continues into adulthood.

  • Holistic External link

Holistic therapy is an integrative approach to healing that addresses the interconnectedness of mind, body, and spirit. Rather than focusing solely on symptoms or isolated aspects of the individual, holistic healing considers the whole person, recognizing the intricate interplay between mind/body/spirit/earth/culture.

  • Feminist External link

Intersectional feminism in therapy recognizes the interconnected nature of social identities, such as race, gender, class, sexuality, and ability, and their impact on individuals' experiences of oppression and privilege. This approach acknowledges that individuals occupy multiple social positions simultaneously, resulting in unique and complex intersections of privilege and marginalization.
