My Ideal Client

I work with neurodivergent individuals, couples, and families impacted by ADHD. My clients include adults making sense of lifelong challenges, couples navigating differing needs, and parents supporting a child while managing their own needs. I help clients with with daily life, shame and self-criticism, and patterns of conflict that leave them feeling disconnected. I also work with people impacted by problem gambling and their loved ones. I work virtually and in-person.

What I Specialize In

I specialize in the personal and family impacts of ADHD and AuDHD. When we talk about ADHD, we often focus on the challenge of meeting expectations. We also need to consider what years of struggling can lead people to believe about themselves, and how those beliefs impact their relationships. We can identify where support is needed, clarify responsibilities, and work through the hurt that has accumulated. My style is direct, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I work at your pace while taking an active role in our sessions: asking questions, sharing observations, and helping us stay focused on what matters to you.

Why I Became a Therapist

I see therapy as an opportunity to explore who we are and who we want to become—to understand our emotional lives, improve our relationships, and make choices that reflect our most deeply-held values.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Family Therapy External link

Parents may spend so much time supporting a child that their own needs—and their relationship as partners—go unattended. I help family members express what they have struggled to say, hear one another, and begin the process of repair. We work toward sharing responsibility, respecting each person’s needs and limits, and making room for affection, enjoyment, and quality time together.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • ADHD External link

For someone with ADHD, a forgotten commitment can bring back years of criticism and disappointment. For their partner, it may deepen resentment and mistrust. I help clients acknowledge mistakes without turning against themselves, hear a loved one’s hurt without becoming defensive, and express needs that are not being met.
