Are you someone who tends to feel and think deeply about relationships of all kinds? Do you care a lot about social justice, creativity, and the future of our planet? I am also a deep feeler, and I know firsthand how, while this is a beautiful and deeply alive way to be, it can also benefit from mental health support– because for most of us the contexts we live, play, and work in aren’t built with deep feelers in mind.
Specialties
Level 2 trained, and practiced AEDP for 4 years in a trauma-focused clinic setting prior to in my private practice.
Trained and practiced for over a decade with generative somatics. I also have advanced SE training with Kathy Kain (Touch Skills for Trauma), where I currently support as a teaching assistant.
BIPOC Level 1, and LGBTQ Foundations course trained.
STAIR Level 3 trained, on track for certification by 2027-2028. This method was created by Julianne Taylor Shore and is a brain-based method bringing together parts work and coherence therapy.
Specialties
While I’ve chosen to focus my attention and resources towards excelling as an experiential therapist, for years I was doing direct services, program and organizational development, and philanthropy at the intersections of ending gender-based violence and various social justice causes. My choice to train with generative somatics was a political one, and I enjoy supporting social justice movement leaders and am well versed in the challenges you face.
Part of the reason I created a private practice was to be a resource for queer, lesbian, gay, bi, two spirit, intersex, questioning, and gender non conforming people. Prior to creating my own practice I led a program that provided trauma-focused therapy to trans* people. I'm also currently involved with a local project that provides post operative care to trans* people.
I notice many kinds of grief that are not usually recognized or spoken about as grief. I enjoy supporting people in nuanced kinds of losses as well as the kinds of losses that are more traditionally recognized.
I enjoy supporting people in deepening all kinds of relationship. I have extensive experience helping people deepen relationships with themselves and with other people. I also help people to deepen their relationships with non-human beings, such as pets, land, or spiritual path.
My training with Somatic Experiencing especially, seems to be well suited to support folks living with chronic pain or illness.
