My Ideal Client

Do you feel stuck in negative cycles? Do you often feel anxious, overwhelmed, or depressed? Then I am happy we have found each other. I work with individuals who are looking for freedom from their current suffering. I believe that you have all the tools for growth within you, sometimes it just takes the presence of another person to unlock those abilities. If you want to integrate your self into a whole, healthy person this is the right place for you!

My Approach to Helping

My approach to therapy is one built on relationships! I value systemic ways of thinking because I believe people are part of complex intricate networks of connection. I like to look at life through an attachment lens and determine the how and why behind our patterns of relationships. I believe our relationships from childhood have an impact on how we see ourselves and how we function through daily life. It is through this process and acknowledging the system we are a part of that genuine healing is possible! It may seem like a slow process but the freedom one can achieve is worth it. It is by slowing down that we can be present, be aware, and give ourselves the care and compassion we deserve!

Why I Became a Therapist

I became a therapist because far too often I have seen people suffer silently because they don't know where to go for help. When we are stuck in negative cycles, looking for a way out, it is so difficult if there is no one to walk beside us through the pain. I firmly believe that people are capable of integrating their experiences and pieces into a whole and healthy self; however, that work should not be done alone. Therapy has been such a valuable space in my own life and I am incredibly grateful for the peace I have achieved through this process. My hope is to be able to continue this journey of healing and bring others along with me!

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Anxiety External link

When working with anxiety I promote an environment that gives you control over your healing. No matter the emotion, I believe it is a valuable tool that tells us something about ourselves. By honoring and processing anxiety I help support people achieve long lasting change. Your anxiety does not have to control your life!

  • Codependency External link

Do you feel like you cannot function separated from your current relationships? The way we form attachments to other people influences so many areas of our life. It is through our attachment style that we understand our sense of security and self image. My work specializes in taking a deeper look at adolescent connections and working our way to forming healthy relationships. I believe you can form meaningful relationships and maintain boundaries that bring you peace and internal strength.

  • Adjustment Disorder External link

Life often throws things at us that cause distress and overwhelm. As you move through seasons of life it is completely normal to find yourself struggling to adjust. My process focuses on normalizing your experience, you are not alone! I find ways to help you cope with the stress you are experiencing, manage your symptoms, and relieve the uncertainty. I believe that naming your pain and seeking support is the first step. You have the strength within you to work through the process!

  • Sexual Problems External link

Are you unsatisfied or distressed with your sex life currently? Sexual issues are often something people feel ashamed to talk about. I help normalize these conversations so that you can explore the root cause of your struggles. You deserve security when being sexually intimate but staying isolated in your distress can deter healing. It is when we name these problems that we are able to move forward.
