My Approach to Helping

My approach, whether you walk into my office as an individual or a family, is to see you as part of your larger social systems. Together we will explore how these social systems affect your inner world. I believe that emotions and meaningful connections are at the forefront of not only our painful struggles, but our greatest moments. My therapeutic framework is based in human connection and emotions. In our work together, I will use honest and direct feedback to help you reach your goals. My clients would describe me as an authentic being that sometimes makes bad jokes but is always there for them. If you are looking for a blank slate therapist, I am not the best fit for you! I strive to provide an affirming space for all my clients that is trauma-informed and inclusive.. Everyone has the ability and strength to create change in their life, they just need the necessary support and resources to do so.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am passionate about supporting and advocating for neurodivergent individuals and families. Most of my education and previous careers have been in supporting individuals on the autism spectrum and their families. As a bisexual woman, I am also passionate about supporting my fellow LGBTQIA+ community members both inside and outside of the therapy room. As someone that holds a plethora of privileges in our society, I also believe it is my responsibility to take action and use my voice when it might not be safe for others to use theirs. Above all else, I value and believe in our connection to one another, that connection is sacred and must be held to the highest esteem.
