My Ideal Client

If you're feeling stuck, challenged, frustrated, repeating patterns that no longer serve you and do not know how to live your best life, let's work through these things together. If you're not sure of your goals or what is preventing you from moving forward that is a fine place to start or continue on your path to change and healing. Life can present us with many surprises including anxiety, trauma, depression, aging, illness, grief and loss. These are all so human. Healing is possible.

My Background and Approach

I understand that our world has chaos and many challenges. With more than 35 years of practice, I know personally and professionally that change and healing are possible and I also understand that can be hard to trust. I invite you to gently step in and find comfort at a pace that works for you. I serve as a support and guide in helping you in healing your struggles with anxiety, depression, trauma and other mood and relational disorders. My approach is supportive, client centered and strength based with a mind/body/spiritual approach. I work with you in determining what is most important to you and how you want to live your best life. I employ different treatment modalities depending on your needs; most recently having become IFS (Internal Family Systems) informed, use CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), am Trauma informed and Culturally Sensitive, approach healing with helping you experience the parts of you that are clouding your unique and whole Self from a fuller life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I was an unhappy child as my father's Post WWII PTSD erupted untreated, and although creative and playful, I knew something was terrible unsettled in me. My family was a hotbed of conflict, drama, secrets, substance abuse and violence. Through mentors, education and personal therapy the SELF in me that I believe we are all born with and that it is whole and intact underneath our traumas and symptoms, began to shine and I found a career that was all about focusing on what is authentic and true for each individual and frequently gets squashed early in life. I have deep intuition and sense when others are not ok with what is going on for them and maintained that intuition and desire to find out what could be done about this, for myself and my clients and after some 4 decades, this is still true. I have personal and professional experience that I bring to my clients that yes, you too can change and heal and ultimately, that is inside of you.
