My Ideal Client

Are you struggling with anxiety, relationship conflicts, identity questions, or major life transitions leaving you feeling hopeless or uncertain? I specialize in supporting individuals and couples, including non-monogamous relationships who are navigating these challenges. Together, we’ll create a safe and affirming space to explore your experiences, uncover strengths, and move toward lasting transformation. We'll help you find resilience, peace, and fulfillment in who you are.

My Approach to Helping

My approach is warm and direct. I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Brainspotting, mindfulness, & somatic approaches to meet you where you are. In sessions, we'll explore deeply, ask meaningful questions, & gently bring awareness to patterns that may be holding you back and help you find supportive solutions. _ If you're looking to nurture your healing and growth, please reach out for a free 15 minute consult where I can answer your questions. I look forward to discovering the path that feels right for you through empathy and genuine connection.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I’m passionate about creating inclusive, affirming spaces where all clients feel safe and valued. As a BIPOC and Latinx counselor, a proud ally of the LGBTQ+ community, and an advocate for social justice, I believe everyone deserves access to compassionate mental health care. My journey toward becoming a counselor was fueled by a desire to help others uncover resilience, heal from past wounds, and experience meaningful transformation. I draw on trauma-informed, holistic approaches, with specialized training in relational therapy, mindfulness, and somatic techniques. When I’m not in the therapy room, I volunteer with the Liberation Institute a community-based mental health clinic as the Portland Director of Equitable & Inclusive Therapy Practices. My work and my values are intertwined: I believe in showing up for my clients with warmth, integrity, and a deep commitment to fostering growth and healing.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Brainspotting External link

I integrate Brainspotting into my therapeutic work as a somatic, nervous-system-focused method that complements talk therapy. In individual sessions I pair Brainspotting with IFS-informed parts work & somatic resourcing to help clients access and gently process body-held trauma. This blended approach accelerates access to stuck material and translates therapeutic insight into concrete skills for managing anxiety and reactivity between sessions.

  • Couples Counseling External link

I specialize in Relational Life Therapy (RLT), using its direct, skills-based approach to help couples, polycules, and ethically non-monogamous partnerships build honest desire, clear boundaries, courageous repair, and sustainable intimacy through improved communication and connection.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) External link

Internal Family Systems (IFS) guides my work by helping clients identify and understand the protective and wounded parts driving thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. As IFS Level 1 Certified therapist, through parts work, somatic resourcing, and practical skills, clients cultivate Self-leadership, reduce reactivity, and build lasting emotional resilience.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Racial Identity External link

I utilize Relational Cultural Therapy to sensitively and effectively explore how the various personal and cultural relationships in your life have shaped you and impacted your well-being. Additionally, as a BIPOC, second-generation LatinX individual, my lived experiences have instilled in me a deep appreciation and empathy for those navigating the complexities of self-discovery.

  • Polyamorous and Open Relationships External link

Exploring your relationship values can help you clarify what you truly want and need, allowing you to create a relationship structure that feels right for you. I bring knowledge of various forms of polyamory, non-monogamy, and open relationships, and I believe that any relationship can thrive with the consent and honesty of all partners involved. Together, we can find the path that best supports your authentic connection and well-being.

  • Relationship / Marriage Issues External link

I offer couples counseling to partners of all orientations & genders, understanding that relationships can be challenging & may require support to thrive. Using the Gottman Method and Emotionally Focused Therapy, I help couples build strong foundations for communication and trust. I also incorporate attachment theory to explore how early experiences shape our relationship patterns. Together, we’ll establish firm ground rules, ensuring a safe space where everyone can feel heard and be vulnerable

  • LGBTQ Issues External link

I offer individualized, identity-affirming therapy for LGBTQIA+ clients, centering your lived experience of coming out, gender/sexual identity, minority-stress, and cultural or intergenerational trauma. Using IFS, Brainspotting, somatic resourcing, and practical skills, I help you settle nervous-system distress, clarify values, and build sustainable coping and relationship strategies.
