My Ideal Client

My ideal client is someone dealing with a change in their life, feeling stuck, depressed, or struggling with the stress of day-to-day life. You might be feeling frustrated in your relationship(s), feeling some part of your life is unfulfilled, or bogged down by sadness, worry, anxiety, or stress. Maybe you have just gone off to college, begun a new career, ended or started a relationship, or moved to a new city. In any of these cases, counseling can be a way to turn a new page in your life.

My Approach to Helping

I believe that change through counseling stems from the connection built between two people, providing a sense of security that allows for exploring new ways of thinking, feeling, or living your life. As your therapist, I want to be someone who will support you in navigating complex circumstances and facing challenging emotions. I approach counseling with a focus on building insight into who you are and the meaning of your experiences in life, building skills to manage stress and anxiety, and creating meaningful change in your life circumstances and the way you relate to others. Along with these clinical approaches, I engage with my clients in a manner that is both sensitive and analytical. My goal is to create a compassionate, collaborative space where individuals can understand their experiences, resolve internal conflicts, and move toward more authentic and fulfilling lives.

More About the People I Treat

I work with people as young as 14, and adults throughout the lifespan. You might be experiencing challenges in a romantic relationship, feeling overwhelmed with anxiety, or feel bogged down by sadness, loneliness, or stress. Maybe you have just gone off to college, lost a loved one, are struggling with dating or maintaining friendships, have moved to a new city, or you just feel bad and don't know why. In all of these cases, I work with clients in a collaborative manner to help figure out the best path forward. I approach counseling through a holistic lens, considering the ways that your environment, work or school related stress, relationships, social systems, and traumatic or other lived experiences might affect you in the present. With these considerations, I will support you in building a greater sense of self-awareness, allowing you to develop tools to live more closely in line with your values and aspirations.
