My Ideal Client

As a proud member of the Queer community, Jen has a strong interest in supporting clients in the areas of LGBTQAI+, children, adolescents and teens, first responders, natural disaster and trauma survivors, individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, and family transitions due to divorce, parenting struggles, abandonment, and complex familial relationships.

My Approach to Helping

Jen takes an evidence-based, person-centered, and strengths-based approach when working with clients with theoretical frameworks such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Attachment Theory, Family Systems Theory and EMDR. When preferred by clients, Jen utilizes grounding techniques and breathing exercises to prepare clients for sessions ensuring there is a healing, open and safe space for sharing and growth. Jen is a parent to two incredible children who are biracial/bicultural (African and North American) and although she can never know what it means to walk through the world as a person of color, she does have experience advocating for, providing support to and being ally for communities of color.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

With a strong focus and commitment to a work/life balance, Jen loves spending time enjoying all the beauty and joys of the Pacific NW with her wife, kiddos and 2 dogs. She embraces time in the kitchen exploring the tastes of many cuisines and listening to music from her favorite artists.
