My Ideal Client

As a clinical counselor, I offer a safe, empathetic space where children, individuals, couples, and families are heard, valued, and encouraged. I walk alongside clients, as a consistent and compassionate ally, as they grow through life’s difficulties and move toward strength and renewal. My work is grounded in helping people rediscover hope, build resilience, and create meaningful forward momentum from even the most difficult places.

My Approach to Helping

My areas of focus include depression/anxiety, grief, neurodivergent challenges, OCD, and lifespan transitions (from childhood through older adulthood). Depending on the client & needs, I draw on restoration therapy, the Gottman method, the Townsend model, and Adlerian therapy. I come to counseling with significant life experience, having raised three children (now grown), taught piano for decades, and spent years caring for my aging parents.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I enjoy spending time with my husband, family, and friends, walking my golden retriever, playing with my grandchildren, directing a senior residence choir, teaching and playing the piano, and playing in a marimba band.
