My Ideal Client

Through our work together we can help release stuck patterns and increase understanding. I specialize in complex trauma treatment, behavior change, maladaptive coping strategies, anxiety, and depression. I believe in looking at the whole self through a lens of kindness and self-compassion. We will examine and break down the roots of why you're not feeling fully satisfied with your life and we'll partner together to move towards healing and strength in both a comfortable and challenging manner.

My Approach to Helping

My approach incorporates being your advocate while working to challenge you to bring about change and growth. I endorse acceptance of the self by digging into the why's of behavior. I am trained in EMDR and have done extensive research regarding somatic and behavioral therapies. I conduct trauma informed care and social justice oriented care in order to bring about regulation to the body. I bring in aspects of motivational interviewing, somatic therapy, person-centered, relational, psychodynamic theory, narrative therapy, and existential therapy to customize a therapeutic approach that would be most beneficial to you as an individual. I am always open to feedback from my clients in order to shift what might not be working for them so we can make this the most effective use of your time.

My Values as a Therapist

Working with clients in their healing journey is the highest honor. It's my personal belief that we all have the strength to change, grow, and heal. We will work together to design and implement a plan to heal and help you live life to your fullest potential. I would love for you to send a message sharing a bit about what you want support in as well as times that work to connect. Looking forward to meeting and working with you! I spend my off time as Treasurer and board member of The Equi Institute, a nonprofit working to enrich the health of the Trans, Queer, Gender Diverse and Intersex communities through trauma-informed and culturally affirming care and social justice advocacy. I am originally from LA, but have found my home in the Pacific Northwest. I love baseball, all things horror, painting, traveling, weightlifting, and listening to the rain while enveloped in a good book.
