My Approach to Helping
My foundation to counseling is a Humanistic or “person-centered” approach. I believe that all humans have an innate wisdom and that it’s my role to help my clients discover their own path. I have great respect for each person’s individual process and employ multiple techniques to facilitate that discovery, including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, family systems therapy, internal family systems therapy and interpersonal therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I hold a Masters of Arts (MA) degree in Counseling from Pacific University in Oregon. I received a Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Pre-Medicine from California Polytechnic University. In addition to my eduction and clinical training, I have some varied life experiences to help me counsel my clients.
