My Ideal Client

Living with a persistent critic or worrier in your head is rough. Like the perfectionist that disguises guilt and shame as help. Or it could be a voice that says the sky is falling. Or maybe there's a skeptic that shows up when you seek change. This can really start to take a toll, leaving you feeling vulnerable, in a panic, or exhausted. But there is another way. I can help you shift to a genuinely supportive inner voice—the kind that doesn't come with the side effects of an inner critic.

My Approach to Helping

With 20+ years of experience in compassionate guidance, I'm here to support you in bringing peace to your mind—even when you feel discouraged or exhausted. How? I'll bring an array of therapeutic and somatic tools. Yes, I may also bring in humor and get a little cheeky when it is fitting—yet I'll always hold deeply compassionate space. We'll tap into your strengths as well, listening to your insights. We'll make plenty of room for your creative energy, and what you find sacred. Together, we'll explore how to feel safe and like your authentic self, without the side effects of an inner critic. We'll engage strategies to interrupt patterns of reactivity, and to care for yourself without guilt. We'll tend to any trauma, wounds, or grief that surface along the way with care. Together we'll help you grow enduring roots of resilience to meet life with steadiness and intention.

My Values as a Therapist

For many years I lived with a cast of inner critics. My journey to peace has taught me a lot about non-contingent worth and belonging. It showed me that even if we've lost touch with our goodness, it is unbreakable and ever present. I learned that levity and a bit of sass go a long way, and that self-kindness can pave the way to wellbeing. I've come to deeply appreciate that we're more than bodies passing through this world. We are each experiencing a whole human adventure, with all its mess and beauty—profound beings with big hearts navigating life's complexities. And that taming inner bullies isn’t about fixing ourselves—it’s rediscovering that we're already whole and worthy. This work is close to my heart. I'm genuinely honored to partner with you in exploring your lived experience and heart longings, and creating space to heal and bring true meaning and wholeness to your life. Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Anxiety External link

When anxiety takes hold, your thoughts spiral into the future, often catastrophizing what could happen. For 20+ years I've been supporting people to interrupt these patterns, regain perspective, and return to present moment embodiment. Blending modalities such as MBCT, ACT, neuropsychology, and somatic relaxation, I'll help you address the root causes of persistent worry, panic and reactivity. Together we’ll restore balance to your nervous system, and cultivate a deeper sense of safety.

  • Depression External link

Whether you're experiencing deep melancholy or intense sadness and despair, depression tends to deplete energy and fuel hopelessness. For over two decades I've helped people regain optimism, stabilize their mood and address the roots of their suffering. I blend MBCT and ACT with positive psychology, contemplative practices, and coaching tools. Through this integrated approach, I’ll help you to foster balanced awareness, restore vital energy, and heal any underlying wounds.

  • Self-Esteem External link

Perfectionism, inner criticism and persistent worry can devastate your self-esteem. For over 20 years I've supported people in cultivating a steadier worth that isn't dependent on getting things right or doing things better. I blend self-compassion, neuropsychology, MBCT, coaching, and contemplative practices to unhook from thought patterns that have you comparing yourself to others or feeling you must earn your worth. I’m here to help you shift into a more empowering self-relationship.
