My Approach to Helping

The primary focus in my therapy is to provide skills for healing through diverse therapeutic practices. I strive to provide a therapeutic environment that is individually tailored to each person’s emotional, social, and psychological capabilities. I am a multi-cultural therapist with extensive experience working with diverse populations. My approach is a trauma-informed approach understanding how past trauma can have effects on current functioning and overall well-being. I strive to provide an environment of comfort and safety through connection and understanding. This non-bias, non-objective experience allows people to comfortably heal and be in the present.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I have 20 years of experience in the mental health field in various settings and have been fully licensed since 2015. Working in settings including community based crisis intensive therapy, educational/school settings, residential/group home settings, inpatient and outpatient clinical services. I have lead treatment groups ranging from sexual abuse treatment to social skills and parenting groups. I am certified in suicide prevention and intervention and have extensive experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, and social/interpersonal challenges assisting them to happiness and mindful living. ADHD, grief/bereavement and chronic pain.
