My Approach to Helping
I utilize an integrative approach. This means I will draw upon different training, techniques, and ideas to assist you with your specific goals. I strive to provide a unique form of therapy for you and your unique wants and needs. Common aspects of my integrative approach: Client-centered approach grounded in empathy, genuineness, transparency and an open and non-judgmental attitude; Relational approach as often our relationships with others (family, friends, significant others etc.) occupy our thoughts and impacts our mood. We can learn from our therapy relationship “in the moment” to learn and apply these important lessons;Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps us examine how our thoughts influence our feelings and behaviors. Through examining our thoughts, we can find emotional relief and behavior change; Positive Psychology which is meant to help increase positive emotion, engagement, and meaning in your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a mental health therapist, I find deep fulfillment in understanding the diverse experiences that shape who we are. I’m passionate about exploring different cultures and perspectives, as they offer endless opportunities for growth, empathy, and connection—qualities I bring into my work with clients. I believe that art, in all its forms, holds a powerful ability to heal, inspire, and express what words sometimes cannot. Outside of my professional life, I value spending meaningful time with family and friends, sharing laughter, good food, and new adventures. I’m drawn to new experiences that broaden my understanding of the world and deepen my sense of gratitude for the beauty in everyday moments. Whether traveling, attending a local art exhibit, or simply enjoying nature, I strive to stay curious, grounded, and inspired. These personal interests continuously enrich my approach to therapy, allowing me to connect authentically and support clients in finding creativity, balance, and joy.
