My Ideal Client

I support teens (14+) and adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and exploring their identity and sense of self. I am committed to working with BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and trans and nonbinary clients, and I offer a collaborative, affirming space for anyone who feels aligned with my approach and is seeking support.

My Approach to Helping

I bring both professional and personal insight to my work, including my own experiences with anxiety and depression. I have worked and volunteered in roles such as crisis support and peer support for youth, which informs a compassionate and supportive approach. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Portland State University, am a Professional Associate Counselor working toward licensure. Guided by Liberation Psychology, Social Justice, and Disability Justice frameworks, I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported in making meaningful changes.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that people have the capacity to grow and change at any stage of life, and that we all carry strengths and skills that can support us in this work. I approach therapy as a collaborative process, with you as the expert on your life and me walking alongside you through different chapters. Therapy can be a space to practice being human, learning, experimenting, reflecting, and finding new ways of relating to ourselves and the world. I focus on building a trusting connection and adapting to your unique needs and experiences, creating a space where everyone feels acknowledged, respected, and supported in their journey.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) External link

ACT focuses on helping you notice and accept your thoughts and feelings without judgment, rather than fighting or avoiding them. It can feel freeing to step back from anxiety, depression, or self-criticism and explore what truly matters to you. In therapy, we work together to clarify your values and take practical steps toward living a life that feels meaningful and aligned, even when difficult emotions are present.

  • Narrative  External link

Narrative Therapy explores the stories we tell ourselves about who we are and our lives. Sometimes these stories can feel limiting or make challenges seem permanent. In therapy, we examine these narratives, identify the strengths and skills already within you, and create new stories that reflect your resilience and values. This approach can help you feel more agency, clarity, and possibility in your life.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Anxiety External link

Anxiety can feel overwhelming, like your thoughts are racing and your body is constantly on edge. It can feel isolating when your mind is always focused on worries. You don’t have to face it alone. I support clients in finding relief, developing coping tools, and shifting their relationship with anxiety. Together, we can work toward a calmer, more balanced life.

  • Depression External link

Depression can show up as persistent sadness, low energy, or a sense of disconnection from things you care about. It can make everyday life feel heavy or isolating. Therapy provides a space to explore what’s happening, reconnect with your strengths, and find ways to bring meaning, hope, and energy back into daily life.

  • Self-Esteem External link

Low self-esteem can make it hard to trust yourself, assert your needs, or feel confident in relationships. It can leave you feeling stuck or self-critical. In therapy, we explore where these feelings come from, recognize your strengths, and practice ways to relate to yourself with compassion and confidence.
