My Ideal Client

Are you ready to see yourself in new & expansive ways? Are you stuck in a role in your family or partnership that you never asked to be in? Maybe you struggle to connect with people or have found that, even though you’ve gotten older, your relationship with your family isn’t changing like you want it to. It could be that you just need a place to explore the wonders & challenges of life. Therapy is an opportunity to hit pause on the overwhelm of life & relationships to try something different.

My Approach to Helping

I believe our social locations (socio-political identities) inform the way we see, interact, and/or respond to people and events in our lives. As a white cis queer middle-aged woman, I have been given access to see the world in a particular way. Whatever your combination of identities, I support you in creating a vision of your world that is meaningful and healing for you. I aim to minimize shame and blame by looking at your struggles systemically, interpersonally, and intrapersonally, increasing your compassion for yourself and others. I provide equity-informed relationship therapy to significant others (married, unmarried, monogamous, polyamorous), families (nuclear, extended, chosen, with or without children), and individuals (asexual and allosexual). I help clients excavate the roles people play in their lives and the identities we take on consciously or not to better opt into your life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I’m a TV and podcast junkie who loves to read and go on walks. I like asking the hard questions of my friends, like: What is the difference between a hike and a walk? When was the last time you cried? When was the last time you kissed someone? I have literal jars of Getting to Know You questions that I pop out at dinner parties; I’ve always been a curious cat. Also, I’m a daughter, a mom, sister, aunt, friend, community member, colleague, acquaintance, neighbor... (Who are you and to whom?)
