My Approach to Helping
I'm comfortable sitting with hard things. I'm not here to fix you. I'm here to help you make sense of your story and actually feel at home in it. If you've spent a long time performing okayness for others, this can be the space where you don't have to. Therapy with me is collaborative, curious, and never one-size-fits-all. I draw on EMDR, psychodynamic therapy, and person-centered approaches—adapting to what you actually need rather than running a formula. I pay attention to patterns: how your history shows up in your present, how your nervous system learned to protect you, and what might be getting in the way of the life you want. We go at your pace.
I've worked in inpatient psychiatric and behavioral health settings—doing crisis intervention, running groups, and supporting autistic youth. I know how to show up when things are serious. I'm grounded in the belief that most people aren't broken, they're working with tools that made sense once and need updating.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My aim is to bring warmth, steadiness, and deep compassion to work with individuals, couples, and families. I received specialized training through the Transcendence Project, providing affirming therapy for transgender and nonbinary clients, and am especially passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent communities, as well as those navigating religious trauma, identity development, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions.
I have worked in psychiatric settings, offering crisis intervention, emotional regulation support, and group therapy. I have also spent time working with autistic youth and collaborating closely with families and multidisciplinary teams. My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and grounded in safety and trust. I strive to create a space where clients feel seen, respected, and empowered to explore, heal, and grow into the version of themselves they’ve been longing to become.
