My Ideal Client

People who see me often have hit a dead end with standard talk therapy and need a different approach to counseling. I provide a trauma informed, somatic based lens to my practice which encompasses how our intersectional identities, nervous systems, and relational connections impact our wellbeing. I specialize in working with those struggling with depression, complex trauma, domestic violence, and grief. I welcome individuals of all cultures, backgrounds, and lived experiences into my practice!

My Approach to Helping

My approach centers the body & our nervous system as integral parts of our mental health. Through finding safety within our bodies, we can understand how our relational experiences have shaped us & find a path to regulation, resilience & self-compassion. My treatments are eclectic, often incorporating personal ritual & movement into our work together. Sometimes we just don’t have the words to articulate our experiences, or we have all the words and no connection to our bodies or emotions— I’m here for it all regardless of where you’re at. Through our work together, we can create a space where you reconnect with your authentic sense of self in a supportive and affirming environment. My highest hope is to help you relight your spark and experience the joys of our world.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I genuinely believe that every person has the right to determine what their own "normal" looks like for them. Healing isn't linear, and by following expectations set by society we may inadvertently be moving our goal post further with every step we take. I am passionate about deconstructing beliefs surrounding what we "should" or "ought" to do and instead determining what's best for YOU. With this in mind, my treatments often touch on developing trust and compassion within yourself. Beyond this, I also love incorporating your personality and beliefs within our work together. Sometimes that may look like needing to start session with some gossip, cracking jokes, or doing a show and tell. I care so deeply about the humans I serve and developing a therapeutic relationship that is real. It would be an honor to know you!
