My Ideal Client

You might be a queer, kinky, polyamorous, or gender-expansive person navigating the joys and the complexities of relationships. Maybe you’re balancing multiple partners and want to stay grounded and connected. Maybe you’re wrestling with jealousy, insecurity, or old beliefs about love and worthiness. I work with folks who want to build relationships that reflect their values rather than traditional scripts — relationships that feel expansive and emotionally safe.

How I Can Help You

With a foundation in relational, somatic, and attachment-based therapies, I bring years of training and lived experience to the work. My specialties include relational trauma repair, LGBTQIA+ identity, polyamory and consensual non-monogamy (ENM), couples/families/constellations, body liberation & HAES, and neurodivergence. When we work together, we’ll slow down and listen to what your body, heart, and nervous system are trying to tell you. I draw from modalities such as Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and somatic/attachment-focused EMDR. We’ll explore the patterns and protective strategies that shape how you relate, love, attach, and communicate — whether it’s a poly dynamic, mixed-orientation partnership, chosen family, or simply a desire for more authenticity and freedom in your relational life. My invitation is simple: you don’t need to have it all figured out — just bring your curiosity and willingness to grow.

My Values as a Therapist

I believe healing happens in connection — in being present to what’s already living within you, rather than fixing what’s “wrong.” I bring into this work a re-wilded vision of masculinity that is fluid, relational, and honours both softness and strength. My roots are Scottish, Danish, and Irish, and as a white-identified therapist, I stay mindful of how whiteness shows up in my body and practice. I’m actively committed to decolonizing my mind and body, living in right relationship with the land, my communities, and the histories that have shaped me. I see accountability, growth, and collective liberation not as optional, but as integral to the work. Being part of an affirming, queer-led space like Rebel Heart Therapy means I’m aligned with the values of authenticity, queer-affirmation, curiosity, learning, teamwork, and awareness — creating a practice grounded in those principles and extending them into each therapeutic relationship.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) External link

I use IFS to help clients explore the protective parts of themselves with compassion rather than judgment. This approach supports deep relational healing by helping you understand the inner dynamics that shape how you show up in love, conflict, and connection.

  • Somatic Therapy (Body Centered) External link

Because trauma and relational wounds often live in the body, I integrate somatic work to help you tune into your nervous system with curiosity and care. This orientation supports grounding, embodiment, and the repair of old patterns from the inside out.

  • Emotionally Focused External link

EFT helps individuals and partners understand their attachment patterns and communicate from a place of emotional truth rather than fear or reactivity. I use this approach to help clients cultivate secure, connected, and resilient relationships.

  • EMDR External link

I incorporate EMDR in a way that honors both the mind and the body, supporting trauma resolution without overwhelming your system. This approach allows us to gently reprocess painful experiences so you can access more freedom, choice, and connection in the present.

  • Relational  External link

At the heart of my work is relationship — with yourself, with others, and with the world around you. Relational therapy allows us to explore patterns in real time, helping you build awareness, deepen intimacy, and create relationships that feel authentic, expansive, and safe.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • LGBTQ Issues External link

As a queer, gender-expansive therapist, I support LGBTQIA+ folks in navigating identity, relationships, and the impact of living in a world that often misunderstands or marginalizes us. My work centers on affirmation, liberation, and creating space for all the parts of you to exist without judgment.

  • Relationship / Marriage Issues External link

I help individuals, partners, and relationship constellations deepen communication, repair ruptures, and build connections that feel secure, honest, and aligned with their values. My approach blends attachment, somatic, and relational therapy to support relationships that are both expansive and grounded.

  • Men's Issues External link

I support men—including queer, trans, and gender-expansive men—in untangling restrictive messages about masculinity and reconnecting with emotional depth, relational clarity, and embodied self-trust. My work centers on a reimagined masculinity rooted in authenticity, accountability, and connection rather than traditional norms or toxic expectations.

  • Polyamorous and Open Relationships External link

I work with polyamorous, open, and consensually non-monogamous relationships of all shapes and sizes. Together, we explore communication, jealousy, boundaries, agreements, and the unique relational patterns that arise when love expands. My goal is to help you create relationships that feel intentional, ethical, and deeply supportive.

  • PTSD External link

I help clients heal from trauma using somatic, attachment-based, and parts-oriented approaches such as EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, and IFS. We move at your pace, gently working with the nervous system to create safety, restore connection, and build a life beyond survival.
