My Ideal Client

Are you searching to deepen your connection with yourself? To heal past wounds so you can life more fully in the now? Do you struggle with cycles of shame or feeling disconnected to yourself or your body? I work with clients to help deeply heal old patterns that are no longer serving them. We work together to identify patterns of shame, "stuckness" and then to gently and slowly rework these patterns into most sustainable ways of being that center truly loving one self as you are, right now.

My Background and Approach

As a Mental Health Therapist, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Oregon and Washington my practice is rooted in culturally affirming, intuitive and trauma-informed mind-body healing, using somatic noticing, mindfulness and narrative, or story. I believe in the value of cultural and ethnic diversity, and it is my personal and professional mission to end discrimination, oppression, poverty, and other forms of social injustice for all people. My approach to health and wellness is to support every clients’ intuitive body awareness. This is only reached through liberation from diet culture and through somatic embodiment. I will never support diet culture and will not engage in any interactions with clients that promote body shame. I am a Certified Brainspotting Clinician. Brainspotting offers us a deeply healing experience and is something I love sharing with my clients.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I see my role in my clients healing process as helping to elicit and support a deep connection between one's mind, body and spirit. I do not believe humans are in need of 'fixing'. Rather, I believe that we all have within us what we need and that we all benefit from having compassionate support to find and embrace our own strengths. All humans have stories to tell. Each story we carry is rooted in our ancestors. I believe therapists must honor intergenerational trauma and provide space to allow for and elicit whole self healing. I enjoy getting out into our beautiful NW forests, rivers and oceans to hike, play and relax. I am an avid fan of soccer and most other sports. I believe it's vitally important to enjoy good food, to spend time with the people we love and for each of us to find our own unique ways to be present in our lives.
