My Ideal Client

Our clients comes from all walks of life, with various ethnic and religious/spiritual background. Some our clients identify as black/African American/Haitian/Afro-Caribbean/African, others identity as Hispanics/Latino, Asians, Mixed race or multi-ethnic, and Caucasian. We do specialize in providing couples counseling so interracial couples. Some of our clients identify as Christian, spiritual or other faiths. We work with teens and adults, individuals, families, and couples.

My Approach to Helping

Our primarily lens is family system as we provide family therapy and couples therapy. We utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Brief Solutions Focused Therapy, to name a few. Some of our Clinicians also have background in trauma informed care and also incorporate DBT. We have an eclectic approach to treatment, meaning that we first assess and then pull from treatment approaches to help our clients based on their present needs in the moment. We are very client-centered and tailor the service to individual needs. Most of our clients who are getting couples therapy are also receiving individual therapy. Our approach in working with couples is to focus on each person's mental health, which include individual and family (couples) sessions) with the same therapist. Most of our clients utilize their insurance to pay for services. We have a small percentage of clients who just want couples' counseling, focusing on the relationship only and not their mental health.
