My Ideal Client

Trauma has an impact not just on the mind but on somatic experiences in the body. I offer a holistic approach that accounts for how thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations interact and feed off each other. By addressing the entire system, I am able to help individuals, couples, and families unwind from the trauma that has limited their well-being.

My Approach to Helping

In Somatic Re-Education Therapy, injury is treated as an incomplete action. The body and mind hold tension patterns out of an effort to "do" something. This approach helps the system complete the action it has been stuck in and thus release the pain that has been held onto. By offering awareness, acceptance, and guiding support, I help clients recognize the unmet needs of their pain, and how to address them so long-held problems release.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I have a deep spiritual background that informs my practice. Through the study of internal martial arts and mindfulness meditation, I have come to understand how our thoughts and beliefs shape our lives and how by working on the subtle level, big changes can occur.
