My Approach to Helping

Whether you are new to counseling or have experience in therapy, I provide a safe, judgment-free space to explore your inner experience and truth. I use experiential therapeutic tools to sift through the layers. My approach is integrative, humanistic, and strengths-based.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

In 2017, I finished my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Portland State University. My experience included a yearlong internship at William Temple House working with diverse individuals in transition. As a Registered LPC Intern in the State of Oregon, I am under the supervision of Karen Hixson, PhD, LPC. I finished training as a massage therapist at the Oregon School of Massage in 2003, and practiced for seven years. This experience continues to inform my understanding of how we carry our lived experience in our bodies. I completed a B.A. in Human Services from the University of Oregon in 1993, and for the next twenty-five years worked with children, youth, families and adults in community based organizations, workforce development, and higher education in Portland, Oregon.
