My Ideal Client

A variety of circumstances can lead us to seek psychotherapy. Sometimes it may be longstanding and difficult emotions, or perhaps painful memories that brought you here. Or it may be a sudden loss or a life transition that prompts you. I work with people who seek relief, reflection, and insight. I believe that, when supported, we have the ability to grow out of difficulties and limitations, and experience more emotional contentment and connection.

My Approach to Helping

I work in a collaborative style, incorporating techniques and theories from psychodynamic, cognitive behavioral theories and the research on interpersonal neurobiology, attachment and trauma. Please use the link to go to my website where there is more info. And please free to contact me for a free phone consultation.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I received my doctoral degree over 15 yeas ago from the Wright Institute in Berkeley, CA and I am a licensed clinical psychologist in Oregon. In my training and working years, was lucky enough to be able to learn from some of the most gifted clinicians in psychology. I had the good fortune to train at University of California San Franisco at the AIDS Health Project, UCSF Child Trauma Research Project, and I completed my post-doctoral training at the San Francisco Psychotherapy Research Group. I've since received advanced training in Emotionally Focused couple's therapy (EFT), EMDR, mindfullness, interpersonal neurobiology, and PTSD.
