My Ideal Client

Are you frustrated or disappointed by the lack of physical and emotional connection with the people closest to you? Do you feel like your partner has become your roommate and the spark is gone? If you are struggling with these issues, I might be able to help. I work best with clients who are motivated to get in the weeds and do some real introspection and who are tired of blaming or feeling blamed for their circumstances and want a clearer path forward.

My Background and Approach

I hold a Master's Degree in Couple & Family Therapy, with a specialization in Sex Therapy, from Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, PA. Now I am a licensed marriage and family therapist in both Oregon and Washington. I utilize a variety of models and evidence-based practices to assist clients including, but not limited to, emotion-focused therapy (EFT) and intersystems therapy. As a systemic therapist, I believe that people are connected to each other through a system of intertwining relationships. Sometimes, as people encounter changes, problems arise that individuals, couples and partners cannot handle on their own. My role is to support you in building positive, secure relationships that will improve your well-being and interpersonal experiences. My work focuses on creating a safe space for individuals and partners to explore fears and personal strengths.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe in the healing power that comes from dismantling internalized systems of oppression (racism, misogyny, ableism, etc.) and I am passionate about helping my clients break free of previously identified constraints and negative beliefs. Beliefs that keep them, their loved ones and society at large stuck and unable to reach their full potential. When I am not in the office you can find me practicing yoga, skiing Mt. Hood, or camping with my partner and friends in the Columbia River Gorge. My clinical interests include working with couples, relationship groups and individuals on communication issues, a lost sense of connection, and sexual dysfunction in the context of their relationships. My passions are premarital/ pre-commitment counseling, addressing sexual desire differences in couples, sexless partnerships and working with clients exploring or renegotiating open relationship contracts.
