My Background and Approach

I have a Master's degree in Integral Counseling Psychology with over 10 years of experience. My clinical orientation is trauma-informed, psychodynamic, existential-humanistic, mindfulness-based and relational. I work with all types of people on a variety of issues, and I specialize in LGBTQ+ identities and concerns. I listen without judgment, accept all of who you are, and validate your lived experiences. We explore your thoughts and emotions, and how you relate with yourself and others, to increase your awareness of the patterns and stories of your life and transform limitations into resources. Discover new life strategies and ways to move through anxiety, depression or numbness to feel more connected and grounded, with increased ability to flexibly respond to life stressors. I'll help you know yourself better, experience deeper connections in your relationships, and feel more ease and joy.

Techniques I Use

  • Mindfulness-based External link

My training in Integral Counseling Psychology at the California Institute of Integral Studies blended Eastern and Western perspectives on human psychology and development. I incorporate mindfulness as the gateway to authentic presence and connection to the body, mind and heart.

  • Humanistic  External link

My approach is deeply humanistic, with a focus on increasing access to your intuition and heart through a collaborative, curious and compassionate therapeutic relationship.

Issues I Treat

  • Polyamorous and Open Relationships External link

Over 10 years of experience working with clients in polyamorous and open relationships, supporting individuals and relationship partners in developing more intimacy through expanding curiosity, improving communication and collaboration skills, reducing reactivity and increasing authentic connection.

  • LGBTQ Issues External link

Over 10 years of experience working with LGBTQ+ clients on a variety of issues and concerns, including developing authentic identity, strength through vulnerability, life beyond trauma and resilient, loving relationships, as well as queer family planning.

  • Gender Identity External link

Over 10 years of experience working with trans and non-binary clients, providing transition related care and general life support beyond identity. WPATH-informed.
