My Ideal Client

I work with many different populations, generally people who are motivated by self-development, relationship challenges, emotional blockages, and usually queerly in the spectrum of LGBTQIA+. Other experiences I can assist navigating with are expected and unexpected life transitions, challenges with self-management. As well as processing social, emotional, and power dynamics that have left lasting impacts. My clients come from all different backgrounds to share these experiences and be seen.

My Approach to Helping

I help people through non-judgemental curiousity and creatively reflecting what is shared in our time together. Other ways we will likely work together is to explore with creative art directives, to expand on your expression, exploration, and practices with important life material. I am informed by intersectional feminist theory, which considers how different aspects of identity (like gender, race, and class) affect your experiences. I also bring in nature-based metaphor and elements to utilize the integral power of nature. Somatic techniques will be encouraged in our time together in order to practice co-regulation and self-regulating skills. I do heavily emphasize the use of journaling to document important events, values, and self-reflection on the personal learning process, and etc.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Before I became a therapist, I know the most powerful positive impact to my life was the gift of compassion and curiosity in my wellbeing and development. Someone to sit through the storm of it with me, to accept me as much as a whole human being (flaws and all), and create shared understanding of my experiences. My hope to is to build this understanding with you. To explore many things; primarily your strengths, challenges, and whatever North Star guides you. I value autonomy, curiosity, and of course creativity! I also want to educate, facilitate personal and collective empowerment, and to nurture a holistic and flexible perspective through the process of a relational practice. I will absolutely talk about political events, the personal and collective impacts of these events, and during these discussions I will facilitate the space to explore the current needs resulting from these developments. None of us are meant to work alone.
