My style is down-to-earth and non-judgmental. I have a deep faith in the fact that though you may feel lost, the path to wholeness is already inside you. I'm here as a guide to help you find it. I work in a way that is depth-oriented and present-focused. We'll focus on alleviating the hurt that is bringing you into therapy right from the start, with the long-term goal of healing its root causes. I use mindfulness to help you attend to limiting thoughts and how you experience them in the body; and gently address patterns in your life that have you stuck, uncovering strength, resilience and more personal freedom.

My experience as a long-time partner, mother, sister, daughter, friend and traveler add richness to my work. Before my life as a therapist, I worked in publishing, the food and wine industry, the corporate world and as a doula. I received my MA in Integral Counseling Psychology at California Institute of Integral Studies in 2011 and have done extensive training in relational psychotherapy, somatically-informed trauma treatment, infant/parent psychology, family systems, mindfulness and interpersonal neurobiology. I have advanced training in working with clients with disabilities and chronic medical conditions.

Techniques I Use

  • EMDR External link

EMDR is a different approach than talk therapy for relieving the distress associated with traumatic memory. This is an extremely well-researched protocol that brings much relief. I am trained in EMDR (Level 1 & 2), working toward certification, and use EMDR effectively with clients.

  • Couples Counseling External link

Your relationship with your partner can be the source of groundedness, stability, love and passion. It can also cause stress, resentment and pain. In couples counseling we build relationship skills, discover what's blocking you from feeling closer and learn to stay connected through the rough times so that you can become better, more loving partners.

  • Integral Therapy External link

I work with your whole self: mental, emotional, physical and spiritual. We collaborate to create health on all these levels, as well as integration among them. For some, spiritual health means a dedicated practice, for others, it can be as simple as noticing our human connection. I'll meet you where you are.

Issues I Treat

  • Postpartum External link

I am passionate about this phase in life, and am committed to helping moms through this rocky time. I have been working with women around childbirth for almost 20 years and have advanced training in postpartum and parent/infant psychology.

  • Parenting External link

My focus is to help parents and caregivers do so from a grounded place of love and connection. Many parents come to me when they are at very low points, feeling ashamed and angry, bogged down by the day-to-day grind of endless parenting tasks - you don't have to go it alone! You can find links to my parenting articles at

  • Relationship / Marriage Issues External link

I use attachment-orientated techniques from EFT and Gottman Method to help couples restore connection, goodwill, feel more loved/loving and handle disagreements more skillfully.

  • PTSD External link

I work with the effects of trauma using several different modalities, including Hakomi, EMDR and sensorimotor psychotherapy. We'll find the right combination that suits you, to relieve the symptoms that are bringing you here.

  • Anxiety External link

We'll work together to find your strengths and coping skills and then use a combination of mindfulness-based practices and cognitive therapy to reduce anxiety.
