My Ideal Client

Feeling stuck, burnt out, or out of options? Wondering what's even the point? I work with people from all walks of life and backgrounds. From learning art therapy interventions with non-english speaking immigrant communities, veterans, LGBTQ+, children and adolescents, young adults, men and women of all ages and stages in life and it's many transitions; I want to help you find the path that leads you to your own definition of healing. Let's figure it out together.

My Approach to Helping

I take a collaborative and holistic approach to healing. I like to get a bigger picture of the life you are living, your past and it's influence on your present, and your ideal future image, and find methods that work best for you to help you achieve your goals. I believe each individual is an expert on themselves; you know what works and doesn't work best for you and I take that in consideration when I co-develop a therapeutic path for healing with you. I bring experience with acceptance and commitment therapy, gestalt therapy, logotherapy (meaning-making), cognitive-behavioral & dialectical behavioral therapy techniques, trauma-informed art therapy, and parts work to my practice, along with a social-justice lens toward systemic change, using a person-centered, strengths-based approach.

Why I Became a Therapist

My first job in mental health was working at a crisis stabilization facility that provided a by-pass to emergency mental health services without needing to go to the emergency room, which can be in itself a traumatic experience. I began working in mental health to understand PTSD in veterans and to make an impact in suicide prevention in mental health treatment for both veterans and civilian communities. I have always been an advocate for LGBTQ+ and BIPOC rights and I am active in volunteering for these communities.
