My Ideal Client

Are you struggling with the quality of relationships in your life? Do you find yourself repeating familiar patterns that lead to conflict and disconnection? Are you interested in exploring your patterns, learning new strategies, and feeling more hopeful and optimistic about creating satisfying connection in your life? I am passionate about the power of relationships to bolster our well being and am excited to support you (individually or with your partner) in building more effective relating.

My Approach to Helping

You are a unique embodiment of your life experiences, and as a therapist I bring genuine curiosity to know you and understand you, and help manifest your visions and dreams. My goal is to help you live a satisfying and fulfilling life, overcoming patterns that don't serve you. I offer both practical strategies and a supportive and safe environment for processing life and relational challenges. I am certified in Relational Life Therapy, developed by Terry Real, and completed certification in Healing Our Core Issues developmental trauma model. I draw from mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, attachment theory, interpersonal neurobiology, nonviolent communication, and more. We will continually assess how things are going and make adjustments to ensure that your investment in treatment is providing you with meaningful outcomes. Clients tend to experience me as warm, accepting, creative, curious, insightful and encouraging. Expect to both laugh and cry during our time together.

Why I am a Good Fit for You

I am passionate about helping clients cultivate meaningful and satisfying relationships. I believe in the healing power of relationships, which has inspired my certification in Relational Life Therapy (RLT, developed by Terry Real) as well as in-depth training in Gottman Couples therapy (completed levels 1, 2, and 3 clinical training). I participate in ongoing training and consultation in RLT and find it to be an incredibly effective approach for healing old wounds and "growing up" in a way that allows us to have healthy and deeply satisfying relationships. We will examine and heal early wounds that interfere in the here and now, liberating your adult self to thrive in relationships! The RLT way is honest and direct, including "care-frontation" of ineffective patterns and honing more relational skills. I am continually humbled by the transformation that is possible when people are committed and motivated to make positive changes, especially in the context of intimate relationships.
