My Ideal Client

Adults who are done surviving what happened to them and ready to deal with it. High-functioning on the outside, exhausted underneath. Many carry childhood trauma, complex PTSD, or attachment wounds. Some have tried to figure it out on their own and hit a wall.. LGBTQ+ clients are welcome and will find this an affirming space.

My Background and Approach

My clinical focus is childhood trauma, complex PTSD, attachment, and identity — the kind of work that requires going beneath the surface rather than managing symptoms. The people I work with have usually tried to figure it out on their own, or tried therapy before without seeing real movement. Something underneath hasn't been touched yet. That's what I'm trained to find and work with. I draw on CBT, DBT, ACT, attachment theory, polyvagal theory, and parts work, pulling from whatever fits what each person brings in rather than working from a fixed protocol.

Why I am a Good Fit for You

I'm direct, I don't sit quietly, and I don't pretend things are fine when they aren't. I'll be honest with you about what I'm seeing and I'll also meet you where you are. If you want therapy that actually challenges something rather than just processing the same material week after week, we'll probably work well together. You don't need to arrive with everything figured out — just a willingness to be honest about what's actually going on.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Attachment Theory External link

I use attachment theory as a core lens in my work — understanding how early relational experiences shaped the ways clients connect, protect themselves, and respond in relationships today.

  • Somatic Therapy (Body Centered) External link

I incorporate somatic awareness to help clients recognize how trauma and stress live in the body — working with physical sensations and nervous system responses as part of the healing process, not just cognitive insight.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) External link

I use Internal Family Systems to help clients explore the different parts of themselves that developed in response to painful experiences — understanding what each part needs rather than trying to eliminate or suppress it.

  • Gestalt External link

I use Gestalt to help clients develop awareness of what's happening in the present moment — thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations — and how unresolved experiences from the past show up in the here and now.

  • Mindfulness-based External link

I incorporate mindfulness to help clients develop a non-judgmental awareness of their thoughts, feelings, and body — creating enough space between experience and reaction to make more intentional choices.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • PTSD External link

I work with adults whose nervous systems are still responding to past threats as if they're present — helping them understand what's happening in their body and mind, and gradually building capacity to process what happened without being overwhelmed by it.

  • Historical Trauma External link

I work with adults carrying the weight of trauma that predates their own experience — patterns, wounds, and ways of surviving that were passed down through families and communities. This includes the long-term effects of collective trauma, cultural displacement, and intergenerational cycles that show up in identity, relationships, and sense of self.

  • LGBTQ Issues External link

I work with LGBTQ+ clients navigating identity, coming out, family estrangement, internalized shame, religious trauma, and the cumulative weight of living in spaces that weren't built with them in mind. This is an affirming practice where your identity is never treated as the problem.

  • Sexual Abuse External link

I work with adults who have experienced sexual abuse or assault — including childhood sexual abuse, adult assault, and the complex ways these experiences shape identity, relationships, body image, and sense of safety. This work requires both clinical precision and deep respect for each client's pace and process.

  • Anxiety External link

I work with adults whose anxiety is rooted in trauma, attachment wounds, or nervous system dysregulation — not just situational stress. Understanding where the anxiety is actually coming from, rather than just managing symptoms, is central to how I approach this work.
