My Ideal Client

Are you or a loved one feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, addiction, ADHD, or low self-esteem? As we walk through life, we are bound to struggle in one way or another. Sometimes, when the struggle feels overwhelming, we can look outside of ourselves for a helping hand. Together, we will explore your feelings, build resilience, and develop strategies to improve your well-being. You will build skills and develop a greater level of awareness that will empower you to achieve your goals.

My Approach to Helping

I believe that participating in therapy is collaborating in a safe and accepting space where you can learn practical skills that facilitate meaningful, long-lasting positive change in yourself and your relationships. I believe that it is through a process of self-discovery and practice that we are able to empower ourselves to skillfully make choices that lead us toward our goals. Through a greater awareness of ourselves and how we relate to the world, we can begin to make small but impactful changes that compound over time. I practice from an integrated lens, meaning I pull from multiple therapeutic approaches to best address your particular therapeutic needs. As someone who has grappled with my own mental health struggles, I know that change is possible but not always easy. I also know that when we take responsibility, hold ourselves accountable, and do the good work, we can achieve our goals. If you or a loved one are ready to begin this journey, reach out!

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My fiance and I are Oregon natives, and we live in Portland with our two dogs. When I’m not in session, I enjoy spending time with my significant other, exploring the city’s rich foodie culture, walking our dogs, and skiing.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) External link

I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), one of the most well-researched and effective approaches for treating a wide range of mental health concerns. I specialize in helping clients identify unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier ways of thinking, and practice new behaviors that support long-term change. My approach is practical, collaborative, and grounded in evidence, making CBT a powerful tool for building resilience and emotional clarity.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) External link

I specialize in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), an approach that helps clients relate differently to difficult thoughts and emotions rather than getting stuck in them. ACT supports lasting change by clarifying personal values and building psychological flexibility—the ability to stay present and take meaningful action even in the face of discomfort. I guide clients in learning how to observe their inner experiences with compassion while moving toward the life they want

  • Emotionally Focused External link

I incorporate Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to help individuals better understand their emotional experiences and strengthen their most important relationships. EFT is a research-supported approach that focuses on identifying attachment needs and transforming negative interaction patterns into deeper emotional connection. By creating a safe space to explore vulnerable emotions, I help clients move from disconnection and conflict toward greater security, empathy, and trust.

  • Existential External link

I draw from Existential Therapy to help clients explore questions of meaning, identity, freedom, and responsibility—especially during times of transition or crisis. This approach encourages honest reflection on what truly matters, empowering clients to live more authentically and intentionally. By facing uncertainty with curiosity and courage, we work together to create a life rooted in purpose and personal values.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Anxiety External link

Anxiety often shows up as a signal that something inside us needs attention. In our work together, we’ll create a compassionate space to understand the roots of your anxiety, develop skills to manage it effectively, and build a sense of confidence in your ability to navigate life’s uncertainties.

  • OCD External link

I specialize in treating OCD using evidence-based approaches like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), which is considered the gold standard for managing intrusive thoughts and compulsive behaviors. Together, we’ll create a structured, compassionate plan to gradually face fears, reduce compulsions, and build confidence in your ability to navigate uncertainty.

  • PTSD External link

I support individuals living with trauma and PTSD through a trauma-informed and evidence-based lens, helping them safely process painful experiences without becoming overwhelmed by them. Using approaches like Restoration Therapy, mindfulness, and somatic awareness, we work together to reduce distress, restore a sense of safety, and reclaim personal agency.

  • Drug Dependence / Abuse / Addiction External link

I help individuals struggling with substance use build awareness, develop healthy coping strategies, and create sustainable change. Through evidence-based practices and a nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship, we’ll work to understand the role substances have played in your life and empower you to move toward clarity, balance, and long-term recovery.

  • Depression External link

Depression can make even the simplest tasks feel overwhelming, but with the right support, healing is possible. I use evidence-based approaches to help clients develop practical tools, gain insight into their emotional patterns, and reconnect with a sense of purpose and hope.
