My Ideal Client

I work with people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and trauma. Helping women who are struggling through postpartum issues is something that I am passionate about. I’ve helped many couples, dealing with communication issues, affair recovery, and conflict resolution. I also have experience with families struggling with family relationships, parenting, and boundaries.

My Background and Approach

I have a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Denver Seminary, and am a Licensed Professional Counselor. My approach to counseling includes elements from Person-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral, Existential, and Narrative therapies. Most importantly, I believe that your growth and healing happens best when you have a trusting relationship with your therapist, so I value building that relationship.

My Values as a Therapist

I desire to provide a warm and safe environment to help you work through difficult times. Whether you’re struggling with a relationship, going through a transition in life, or just need someone to lend a compassionate ear, I am here to help.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Relational  External link

I believe that having a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship is key to experiencing growth.

  • Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) External link

CBT provides many tools that I believe are helpful in making actionable changes, so I use many techniques from this therapeutic approach.

  • Existential External link

This helps us to answer some of life's more difficult questions, so I use some of these techniques as we get into the deeper issues in life.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Postpartum External link

I have experience working with postpartum depression and anxiety. If you are struggling with the transition of being a new parent, it can feel incredibly overwhelming and isolating.

  • Anxiety External link

If you find yourself feeling paralyzed by anxiety, it can be helpful to just have someone to talk to, and a place to gain some new tools for dealing with the stressors that come up.

  • Women's Issues External link

As women, we are often juggling so many different roles. You might be a partner, a mother, an professional, and so many others. Often, we need someone to talk to about how all of those roles fit together. If this is you, I can help.

  • Personal Growth External link

Do you want to improve your life? Do you want to feel like you are thriving, rather than just surviving? If so, give me a call.

  • Relationship / Marriage Issues External link

Communication, conflict resolution, affair recovery, and boundaries are just a few topics in marriage relationships that I can help with.
