Our Background and Approach

Wild Wish Counseling is a clinical group practice that offers support to individuals across all ages and identity. Through various services and treatment options, we offer an eclectic style of therapies. This requires our clinicians to be highly skilled and knowledgeable in the most recent research and evidence-based treatment for mental health concerns. As a community we face many challenges of depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, grief/loss, gambling, addiction, sexual identity, attachment or behavior issues and relationships which means that specialized care and a commitment to education and training is imperative to providing ethical and knowledgeable care to all individuals.

Our Personal Beliefs and Interests

Wild Wish Counseling clinicians advance their expertise by focusing on advanced training and holistic theories which requires passion and commitment to the field of emotional health. All graduate interns participate in ongoing supervision and consultation. Graduate interns attend accredited online or local programs because we believe in providing the best care with a pledge of quality in providing services to the community. We believe that interest in your life, identity, and narrative are most important to the therapeutic process of healing.

  • Depression External link

    Feelings of sadness are natural feelings that everyone experiences throughout their lifetime, however when those feelings develop into intense and overwhelming thoughts, it can be a tough process to pull yourself out of. Wild Wish offers the help you need to bring you back to a happier healthier you. Depression isn’t always brought on by a sad or traumatic event and can last as little as a day to a lifelong battle. Sometimes we don't have a reason, but you do not have to face it alone.

  • PTSD External link

    Individuals who have experienced a traumatic or terrifying event (often life threatening) can develop flashbacks, nightmares, severe anxiety and uncontrollable thoughts about the event. Wild Wish Counseling works with our patients to help manage the intense feelings surrounding a traumatic or terrifying event. Although the instigating event may overpower coping resources available at the time, it is nevertheless possible to develop healthy ways of coping and diminishing its effects.

    Anxiety is an unprecedented response to any type of threat in reality or imagined. The fear of what could happen, is happening or is yet to come can bring an overwhelming sense of fear or apprehension with the capability of causing physical symptoms. Wild Wish Counseling works with our patients to help manage these intense feelings of fear and nervousness. Whether a big event or a small stressor in life is causing anxiety attacks, our team will help bring you to a healthier state of mind.

    Suffering the death of a loved one can have a tremendous impact on your emotional wellbeing and last for years to come. We, as people, form strong bonds with our friends, family and loved ones. When those bonds are broken, the aftereffects can be extreme, overwhelming and unpredictable. Wild Wish Counseling can help challenge and approach these feelings in a safe and healthy environment.
