My Ideal Client

My philosophy is based on the belief that you possess the power to change, and it is my role to help you become aware of how to understand and utilize your own inner strength.

My Approach to Helping

My theoretical orientation is purposefully eclectic, which allows me to best serve your needs as a client. I believe very strongly in a collaborative process in designing counseling. You are the expert on you, and my job is to walk with you through the journey of counseling. The techniques we will use may change depending on your style and needs. I believe that we are all embedded in our cultural systems, every individual is unique, and no one orientation will serve for all. Therefore, I use a variety of techniques and draw from several theories.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I received my BA from the University of Great Falls in Psychology with a Minor in addictions counseling program in May of 2012. My graduate-level training was at Lewis & Clark College where I graduated in May 2016 with my MA in Professional Mental Health Counseling - Addictions. I am credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor with the State of Oregon. I have a current CADC1 and CGAC1 from the Addiction Counselor Certification Board.
