My Ideal Client

You are an adult individual who feels ready to work on yourself and take an active role in your healing. You are open to intuitive feedback, innovative approaches, and understanding the mind–body connection. You value insight, honesty, respect, and meaningful change. You feel ready to be empowered while working with concerns such as anxiety, depression, identity, grief, infertility, trauma, and life transitions. Inclusivity comes first, and individuals from all backgrounds are welcome.

My Background and Approach

I am a licensed holistic psychotherapist with over two decades of experience in private practice, beginning my clinical work in CA in 2003. My work has been guided by a holistic perspective that looks beyond symptoms to understand the emotional, physiological, and experiential influences on mental health. My approach has expanded to include a more integrative and intuitive lens, leading me to advanced training in Comprehensive Energy Psychology, where I became a Diplomate. This allows me to incorporate mind–body and energy-based techniques into psychotherapy, grounded in safety, clinical skill, and respect for each individual. I am the author of two books: Visualize Yourself and Wow! The Things We Can Do! Me, You and Anxiety Too!, and I’ve created meditation content on Insight Timer. I work with individual adults and specialize in trauma recovery, anxiety disorders, depression, grief and loss, infertility, menopausal concerns, life transitions, and personal growth. Licensed in CA & OR

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe healing is deeply personal and unfolds best when it honors the whole person—mind, body, and life experiences. At the heart of my work is the belief that people already carry wisdom within themselves, and therapy is a space to reconnect with that inner knowing in a way that feels supportive, empowering, and real. I value approaches that are grounded, honest, and responsive to the realities of modern life. I’m especially drawn to work that integrates psychology with intuition and mind–body awareness, allowing healing to feel both meaningful and practical. My work is guided by respect for all lived experiences, backgrounds, identities, and paths, and by a genuine commitment to helping people feel seen, valued, and supported as they are. I’m passionate about making psychological tools accessible beyond the therapy room through writing, guided practices, and educational content. Above all, I value depth, integrity, collaboration, and the shared humanity that connects us all.

Techniques I Use

Specialties

  • Holistic External link

Holistic psychotherapy is an approach that considers the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—when supporting emotional well-being. It recognizes that emotional struggles are often influenced by multiple layers, including stress, life experiences, and internal patterns. By integrating energy psychology within psychotherapy, this approach supports healing at a deeper level and, when appropriate, may help reduce reliance on medication by strengthening natural regulation and resilience.

  • Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) External link

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a practical approach that helps you understand how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors affect one another. It offers real tools you can use in everyday life to shift unhelpful patterns, manage stress more effectively, and make choices that feel more aligned and intentional.

  • Coaching External link

Coaching offers guidance, structure, and motivation when you’re ready to move forward. It focuses on clarifying goals, strengthening follow-through, and building momentum through practical steps and accountability. Coaching supports growth, confidence, and direction in everyday life.

  • Somatic Therapy (Body Centered) External link

Somatic, or body-centered, therapy focuses on how experiences are held in the body as well as the mind. The body often remembers what thoughts may not fully recognize. This approach brings awareness to physical sensations and stress responses, using the body as an entry point for regulation, grounding, and restoring a sense of safety and stability.

  • Mindfulness-based External link

A mindfulness-based approach supports awareness of thoughts, emotions, and bodily sensations as they arise in the present moment. By learning to observe experiences without judgment, mindfulness helps reduce reactivity, increase emotional regulation, and create more space for intentional responses rather than automatic reactions.
