My Ideal Client

I believe that we are all unique individuals who require an equally unique approach to our mental health. I want to form a collaborative relationship with my clients, as I believe that the therapeutic relationship is extremely healing. I am open to working with all clients from all backgrounds including individuals, children, and couples. My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, grief/loss, life transitions, and trauma.

My Background and Approach

I have my bachelor's degree in human physiology, leading me to a passion in mind and body wellness. I am currently in the process of getting my master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and will be working as a masters student intern. I have personal experience with therapy, which led me to pursue a career in counseling.

Why I Became a Therapist

I became a therapist because I believe in people. Life is hard, and a lot of times can feel overwhelming. I believe that people are capable of adapting and overcoming, but may need some support while working through whatever is impacting them. Therapy has positively impacted my own life, showing me first hand the healing power of connection and relationship that therapy facilitates.

Specialties

  • Humanistic  External link

Humanistic therapy adopts a holistic approach, and focuses on a person's individual nature. Humanistic therapy aims to consider the whole person, while helping you develop a strong and healthy sense of self, explore your feelings, find meaning, and focus on your strengths. The three parts that make up humanistic therapy are: unconditional positive regard, empathetic understanding, and genuineness.
