My Approach

I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, couples and families, with a focus on the importance of awareness, interdependence and communication. My work with adult individuals is sometimes motivated by challenging social constructions. I use a solution focused approach with behavioral, narrative and mindfulness interventions to support client treatment goals.

My Background

My husband and I (and my Pomeranian Nico) moved to Oregon from NYC in 2006. I immediately began working in social services. During my early career, I was fortunate enough to be able to work with local agencies serving marginalized populations. The goals were to support client safety and encourage general health and wellness. I continue to work from this model while collaborating on therapeutic goals with my outpatient clients. I served as an Addictions Counselor and Supervisor in residential treatment settings while attending Portland State University where I received my graduate degree in social work.
