My Ideal Client

Whether you're navigating a life transition (career shift, relationship changes, the weight of grief or trauma), your relationships or work dynamics have created a cycle of overthinking and discontent, or you’re feeling lost in life, while you are the expert on your life, everyone needs support and an outside perspective sometimes. With curiosity, empathy (and probably some profanity), I provide a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore these complexities and map your path forward.

My Background and Approach

I believe the most crucial element of therapy is our relationship. Because I’ve sat in the “client’s chair” for a few decades, I know the courage it takes to show up. My priority is to meet you exactly where you are, beginning wherever you feel most comfortable. My approach is rooted in the conviction that while our pasts and systemic forces shape us, they do not have the final say. We each possess the inherent right to define our own path and reclaim our agency. When we meet life’s complexities with honesty and curiosity, we don't just "fix" problems; we learn to embrace them in manageable ways or build entirely new alternatives. Prior to my clinical career, I spent 20+ years in the corporate world. I understand the "language" of high-pressure environments. I’ve also navigated the ebbs and flows of a 20-year equitable partnership. I’m here to offer a steady presence as you do the heavy lifting of reclaiming your agency.

My Values as a Therapist

Trust is Earned, Not Given: I don't expect vulnerability on day one. Trust is built through consistent action, honesty, and professional integrity. Healing is Holistic: Growth happens in our sessions, and also in the "small" moments: the resonance of a song, time in nature, or the restorative power of a nap. Identity-Affirming Care: Mindful of my positionality as a white, cisgender woman, I am committed to lifelong work of allyship and cultural humility to ensure your unique, lived experience is honored. Honesty over Perfection: I bring my fill, human self to our sessions; curiosity, empathy, and a bit of humor included. Because I continue to do my own work in therapy, I a deep respect for the courage it takes for you to do yours. Yes, this process takes work. It will be uncomfortable. And it is absolutely worth it.
