My Ideal Client

In my work, I strive to support you in deepening your understanding around the influences of the larger societal discourses at play in your life and walk beside you as move towards a more meaningful 'preferred' narrative for yourself and/or your relationships. I often work with LGBTQIA+ individuals or partnerships, adolescents, Neurodivergent folks individually or relationally, people with history of attachment or developmental trauma, and family systems seeking to have more connection.

My Approach to Helping

I am trained and specialize in working with LGBTQIA+ and more specifically, Trans and Non binary individuals, including teens/early adults. I provide evaluations, and if appropriate, letters for clients to access different forms of gender affirming care. I also have received several trainings in both the diagnosis and treatment of ADHD/ASD, to support both individuals and their families. Additionally, I am currently enrolled a cohort training on Complex Trauma (CPTSD) that focuses on bottom up processing modalities, such as coherence therapy and memory reconsolidating to facilitate healing around attachment trauma that causes disturbances in their day to day functioning. Additionally, I have training in Self Compassion, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS). I see my role as one that works to illuminate your existing strengths, inner resiliency, and innate wisdom to move towards a life guided by your values and what is meaningful to you.

Our Personal Beliefs and Interests

When not doing therapy, I deeply enjoy whipping up both new & tried and true recipes to nourish my soul and my near & dear human's bellies too. I love to lose track of time writing silly little haikus, tending to my plant babies & garden, going for neighborhood walks with my pup, and trying new craft hobbies that I will inevitably lose sight of when the next one comes along. I actively aim to seek out novelty of all kinds; whether that is finding a way to make a game of roulette out of cooking, diving into a project around the house on a whim, or finding a new & exciting topic to learn all that I can about. I deeply value and work to actively invest in community care and mutual aid in my day to day life, and see this value as one that I strive to live out through my work as a therapist as well. I began my career working with youth in the foster care system, and continue to volunteer and do research for A Home Within, an organization that provides therapeutic care 'as long as it takes.'
