My Approach

My clients do things differently. Their relationships, their identities, the things they’re passionate about are outside the norm. They find themselves feeling like outsiders, even with people they’re close to. Sometimes they’re rejected by people they love. Often they’re invalidated by society at large. Sometimes they have a sense that something about them is different from everyone else but they can’t put their finger on what it is. Others know exactly what it is but they haven’t told anyone because they’re afraid it might not go well. They try to hide it and end up feeling depressed and anxious. People who come to see me want to be able to manage the tug of war they feel inside. They want to know what to do with the parts of themselves, or their partners, they don’t like so they can have the relationships they want.

Because I couldn’t find therapists who understood what I was going through, I put in a lot of work and research to get educated on how to help myself. I became a therapist because I didn’t want anyone else to experience the bad therapy I had. I want to share with you what I’
