My Ideal Client

My clients do things differently. Their relationships, their identities, the things they’re passionate about are outside the norm. They find themselves feeling like outsiders, even with people they’re close to. Sometimes they’re rejected by people they love. Often they’re invalidated by society at large. Sometimes they have a sense that something about them is different from everyone else but they can’t put their finger on what it is.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - OR T1128 Founder - Rebel Heart Therapy Crisis Intervention Team Member - Burning Man Emergency Services Former Clinical Supervisor - Lewis & Clark Counseling Ctr Approved Supervisor - American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology, LGBT Affirmative Psychology Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Deaf Studies I absolutely love what I do to help my clients because I’ve been there. I’m queer, kinky, and have 20 years of experience in ethically non-monogamous relationships. My life has been a zig-zaggy line with a whole lot of challenges in my path. From figuring out myself to my relationships with others I’ve gone through it. Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Polyamorous and Open Relationships External link

I have been working with poly and open relationships for a decade and have two decades of lived experience in ethically non-monogamous relationships. Whether you've just started talking about opening up, struggling with jealousy, in a conflict with a metamour, or navigating complex relationship issues within your polycule I'm here to help.

  • LGBTQ Issues External link

My graduate training focused on LGBT Affirmative Therapy. Affirmative psychotherapy works to heal the wounds of internalized homophobia, biphobia, or transphobia that can be an underlying cause for depression, anxiety, substance abuse, unsafe sex, relationship or intimacy problems and other difficult challenges faced by many LGBTQ individuals.

  • Gender Identity External link

I have been working with clients with Gender Dysphoria for a decade. I have attended several specialized trainings for working with gender identity issues before and during that time. I have experience supporting individuals and families who are navigating the transition process and I'm able to write letters in support of your process as needed.
