My Approach to Helping

I genuinely care about each of my clients and believe that the therapeutic relationship can be a powerful tool to help facilitate growth and change. I work with clients collaboratively and approach our work through an integrative lens, meaning I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy and instead draw from a number of different therapeutic frameworks based on individual clients' needs. I primarily come from a depth-oriented approach and my work is influenced by existential-humanism, gestalt therapy, somatic therapy, and psychodynamic frameworks. What this looks like in practice is that I may bring attention to your emotions in the present moment, how you are experiencing emotions in your body, how the past and the unconscious mind may influence your present conscious experience, exploration of what gives your life meaning and purpose, and what it's like to be you as a complex individual.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I aim to deeply listen to and understand my clients, and strive to create a safe and supportive environment where you are free to explore and heal from your pain with someone on your side. I believe humans are capable of growth, change, resilience, and tremendous strength and courage in the face of life's sufferings. I love empowering clients to find this within themselves as well as a sense of hope, joy, creativity, choice, meaning, connection to themselves and others, self-compassion, and authenticity.
