My style of therapy is warm, collaborative and open to wherever the work may lead us, though I'll also help us to stay focused on your goals. I often use humor and creativity in my work. I'll check in along the way to make sure we're heading in a direction that is helpful and at a pace that feels right for you. The therapeutic relationship is one of the most important aspects of effective therapy, so it's important that this feels like a good fit. I truly love what I do and am endlessly inspired by the human capacity for growth and healing. My hope is to provide support, tools, and encouragement to help you find a greater sense of balance, authenticity, strength and overall well-being.

I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), registered in the state of Oregon. I earned my Master's degree from Portland State University and completed my undergraduate work in psychology at Southern Oregon University. I have nearly 15 years of experience in the mental health field, including five years working in a residential treatment home for adolescent girls, and five years as a Child & Family Therapist in community mental health, prior to opening my private practice.

Issues I Treat

Specialties

  • Loss or Grief External link

While grief is most commonly associated with the death of someone close to us, we may also experience grief around a variety of other life challenges/transitions, such as the ending of a relationship, job loss, parenting milestones, loss of a deeply held belief, or a move to a new place. I can help you face grief and loss with courage, allowing for healing and a deeper sense of meaning to emerge.

  • Anxiety External link

Anxiety can be a normal reaction to change, an anticipated event or other life stressors. When anxiety escalates, however, it can become disruptive & unsettling, affecting our sleep, physical health, relationships and overall well-being. I use mindfulness and cognitive-behavioral techniques to help clients reduce anxiety and increase balance, while also exploring/resolving the underlying causes

  • Parenting External link

Parenting is one of the most rewarding and challenging adventures we will embark on and one that can bring us face-to-face with our greatest sense of vulnerability. I am passionate about supporting parents of young/school-aged children through the many ups & downs - bringing more balance & awareness to your role as a parent and helping you learn effective strategies to raise healthy, happy and resilient children.

  • Women's Issues External link
  • Adjustment Disorder External link
