My Ideal Client

I work with couples, families, individuals, parents, and teens with their relationships and life challenges. I am honored to partner with people experiencing depression, anxiety, relational conflict, parenting challenges, trauma, uncertainty about life decisions, or any reason to reach out for a partner in navigating a way forward. I enjoy working with people from all backgrounds and perspectives and incorporate each person’s own values, beliefs, and expertise in their own life.

My Approach to Helping

My approach starts with respecting each person’s story and perspective and builds toward goals from there. I value engaging people holistically in the process of healing, pursuing goals, and seeking resolution. I work with couples, families, adults, and teens in a variety of approaches, based on the needs of each person or family. Every person and family are different and are worth responding to in a way that fits them uniquely. At the same time, certain underlying aspects of being human are shared by us all, and I try to connect through those pieces of shared humanity to bridge across differences and build understanding and real, shared experience in our time together. Some of the ideas I draw on to do that work is from Emotionally Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and other sources.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe all of us are worth something, even when we struggle to see it in ourselves or each other. Learning how to make sense of ourselves, each other, our history, and our present helps to put things in order and allows us to feel at peace within ourselves, even when life around us may still be unpredictable or out of control. I hold onto hope for more joy and peace, even and especially when my clients can't do that for themselves, with the goal of sharing it together. My role is to join you regardless of anything in your past or present so that we can calm the storm, find the break in the clouds, and rise into the sunshine together.
