It is possible to overcome the effects of trauma and feel at peace with your life. Whether you want to process past experiences or finally let go of outdated behaviors and ways of thinking, you don't have to face it alone. We’ll work well together if you’re looking for a therapist who can validate and challenge you at the same time.
Specialties
Sensorimotor Psychotherapy is a body-oriented therapeutic approach designed to treat trauma, attachment issues, and other mental health difficulties. It combines traditional talk therapy with body-centered techniques to help individuals process trauma and emotional difficulties through awareness of physical sensations and body responses. I find it truly invaluable to individuals who struggle to understand their complex experience.
ACT is an action-oriented approach that is based on working toward the life you want through mindfulness, becoming clear on your values, and committed action. Rather than argue with your thoughts, we instead look at whether your thoughts and actions are bringing you closer or farther from your values and goals. In this way, there is no need to prove if your thoughts and feelings are valid. We will help you find ways to change how you react to your daily experience and become more flexible.
Specialties
Trauma can have devastating effects on our lives, but it is possible to find freedom. By working together, we can address your most challenging symptoms—whether it’s regulating your nervous system, managing flashbacks, being true to yourself without feeling triggered, or navigating difficult relationships—bringing you closer to relief and peace.
Eating disorder recovery doesn't have to feel grueling or impossible. I work with clients to explore the underlying emotional, psychological, and behavioral factors that contribute to disordered eating. Therapy will focus on developing healthy coping strategies, challenging negative thought patterns, and rebuilding a positive relationship with food and body image using Intuitive Eating Principles.
